Attorneys. Counselors. Business Partners.
Brian Parker is an attorney in Goodspeed Merrill’s litigation division. Brian focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation and employment law and has extensive experience in client communications, legal writing, and trial advocacy. Prior to becoming an attorney, Brian worked as a law clerk with Goodspeed Merrill for nearly two years. Brian also gained experience while clerking at an employment law firm and medical malpractice law firm during law school. While representing indigent clients through the University Sturm College of Law’s Civil Litigation Clinic, Brian won both of his trials. Brian successfully defended a fraudulent request for a permanent protection order in one case and obtained an urgent permanent protection order in the other.
Brian graduated from law school in May 2023. Prior to law school, Brian was a tight end in the NFL for 5 years. Brian’s career in the NFL was primarily with the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos. While Brian was playing football for the Kansas City Chiefs, he suffered a devastating nerve injury to his right arm. While dealing with the unfortunate reality of the NFL’s business agenda, Brian had to file an injury grievance against the Kansas City Chiefs in response to their misdiagnosis of Brian’s injury. It was at this time that Brian began thinking about becoming an attorney and advocating for others. After retiring from the NFL in 2019, Brian applied for law school and enrolled in the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2020.
Brian grew up in Rochester, New York and received his bachelor’s degree from the University at Albany. When not practicing law, Brian enjoys golfing, skiing, visiting the ocean, and watching the Buffalo Bills.
