Cara Knight

Cara Knight is an Associate Attorney in Goodspeed Merrill’s employment and litigation divisions. Her practice focuses on counseling employers and individuals on legal and compliance issues, defending employers in complaint matters, and handling cases involving breach of contract, unjust enrichment, tortious interference with contract, preliminary injunctions, and other complex commercial litigation matters.

Cara earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law following her undergraduate studies at Syracuse University. She began her legal career as a prosecutor in the Colorado 18th Judicial District, gaining extensive courtroom experience prosecuting criminal cases. After her tenure at the DA’s office, Cara transitioned her courtroom skills into a civil litigation practice. Before joining Goodspeed Merrill, Cara defended clients against claims including negligence, breach of contract, insurance bad faith, homeowner association disputes, and violations of Colorado's Premises Liability Act.
