Alexia joined Goodspeed & Merrill in January of 2017 with a wide range of experience in family law, civil litigation and, collection law. Alexia specializes in family law and has a wide range of experience in dealing with high conflict divorces to dependency and neglect cases. In 2013 she became certified as a Child Family Investigator. While that certification is no longer active for Alexia she utilizes the experience and tools from that certification to serve our family law clients. Alexia is a key component of the family law team and works very closely with the attorneys to ensure that our clients receive the best service possible.
In July of 2017 Alexia completed the training for Mediation Theory and Practice. Alexia primarily does domestic relations mediations; however, she does have experience with construction defect and other civil litigation matters. As a mediator she helps the parties think outside the box and develop agreements that are specific to their situation and will work for their family. As a previous certified Child Family Investigator, Alexia provides a unique insight for parents dealing with allocation of parental responsibilities issues (parenting time and decision making).
In her free time, Alexia enjoys spending time with her dog, friends and family. She is a Colorado native and takes full advantage of all the wonderful outdoor activities Colorado has to offer. Alexia enjoys mud runs, marathons and staying active any way she can.
